Shaolin Cosmos Qi Gong
The Art of Energy
A ‘High Level Energy Art’, not just gentle form and movement
Shaolin Cosmos Qi Gong (Chi Kung) means ‘The Art of Energy’ and has a lineage stretching back 1500 years to Bodhidharma. Over the centuries there have been many types of Qi Gong practice, all reporting benefits to the practitioner. At its lowest level the movements and form help relax the body, release tension and increase blood flow. At it’s highest level one can attain ‘Enlightenment’.
Qi Gong is often practiced at the form level only. Practiced as a gentle exercise it misses two essential aspects of training - mind and energy. If one only practices the form, without developing the skills of generating an energy flow or entering a ‘Qi Gong State of Mind’ then they are missing out on many of the benefits this genuine high level energy art has to offer.
In our school we give people an understanding and direct experience of Shaolin Cosmos Qi Gong working for them, by teaching the techniques and skills of developing and generating an energy flow and how to apply it.
When understood, Shaolin Cosmos Qi Gong, can be used in everything you do. It can be used to overcome illness, increase energy levels, improve performance, applied to martial arts and much more.
Benefits from a 15-minute practice
Shaolin Cosmos Qi Gong, practiced correctly as the art of energy, promises good health, increased energy, mental freshness/clarity and spiritual growth from an efficient 15-minute daily practice. It also provides the foundation for effective meditation.
To get the real benefits you’ll be taught how to enter a Qi Gong State of Mind and generate an energy flow.
Shaolin Cosmos Qi Gong is not mystical
Although the results achieved often seem miraculous. It is rooted in a deep understanding of the way illness, lack of energy and unhelpful emotional/mental states arise and the natural way the human mind and body can heal itself.
Learning this art can not only help you overcome illness or unhelpful states but can also lead to a greater enjoyment of life.
Kung Fu is Qi Gong...
Many people are surprised to learn the Kung Fu is Qi Gong! That is if the Kung Fu being practiced is genuine and not just form based. We are lucky in our school to inherit the teachings of many great Shaolin and Wudang masters so that all our Kung Fu training includes Qi Gong - meaning we train form, energy, mind.
It also comes as a surprise to many people that Taijiquan is actually Kung Fu (a martial art). Not just a gentle form of movement.
Hi Level Qi Gong
In 2012 the Fully Alive team interviewed Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit and asked about the difference between gentle physical exercise and ‘high level Qi gong’. We also asked him what it meant to be Fully Alive! Have a look at the video below.
